For the mid-semester project, I plan on focusing on bees, wildlife, and wildflowers in Lewisburg/on campus. I will be interviewing Biology Professor Mark Spiro the Bucknell Farm Director. Out of this interview, I hope to get information on good plants for the gardens on the greenway along with wildlife native to the area and how to best protect them. My teammate Sam will be interviewing Biology Prof. Chris Martine. Chris Martine focuses on native plantings so I will request him to ask a few questions on my behalf. For this project, I plan on attaching a possible mockup of what a garden would look like along with a photo of Professor Spiro.
For the final project, I do not yet have a topic but I would like to possibly focus on the sustainability side of things. This would include me interviewing Professor Shaunna Barnhart. Professor Barnhart focuses on sustainability and conservation so she would be an amazing resource for this project. I would love to hear what she believes would be easy ways for students to become involved in sustainability. I would like to add possible videos of on-campus sustainability options along with photos of why it is important to be sustainable.
